RTI (Right to Information)

The Right to Information Act, 2005 has been enacted by the Parliament of India to provide for the right to access secure information for all citizens under the control of public authorities to promote transparency and accuracy in the working of all public authority. All Higher Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or by State Legislature or by notification of the appropriate Government, owned, controlled or substantially financed directly or indirectly by the Government is under the purview of this act. The Act came into force on and from 15th June 2005.
